RESOURCES

There are resources available to help you learn about MAID in your province or territory.

Participant Funding

In appreciation of participants time and contributions, we are offering a one-time payment of $50 per participant who attends on their own time (in-person or virtual format).

Travel and Accommodation Reimbursements

Though we have a virtual option for all of our roundtables, we understand some participants may still prefer to travel from out-of-town to attend an in-person session in their province or territory.  Please note we have limited spots available for travel reimbursement.  Though we are able to reimburse travel and hotel costs up to $525 per participant, we kindly request that those needing to travel from afar please reach out to us in advance at events05@vgnresources.ca with further details before booking travel arrangements.  Due to your location it may be more advisable to attend the virtual option instead. Thank you for understanding.

Mental Health Support

We recognize that conversations on end-of-life and dying may be sensitive, triggering or difficult to deal with emotionally. An Indigenous facilitator and trauma counsellor will be present during the roundtables to enable a culturally safer and respectful environment. We also encourage you to take time to care for your mental and emotional well-being. Confidential mental health and crisis intervention supports are available at the links below.
